Rare model of a nude figurine by Goebel, Germany
around 1950.
It depicts a standing nude woman looking to the sky with a raised
arm and the other along her body.
Her raised hand is looking as protecting her face from the sunlight.
She is finely modeled and her face and hair very detailed. Her
body is slender but very well formed.
She is modeled in terracotta in the original color. A limited
number of pieces were made using this reddish clay, and were unpainted.
Looking to other nude figurines by Goebel, she may be sculpted
by Unger or Möller, the best modelers working for Goebel
at the time.
She has 3 marks; the model number “EN 10” and the
crown mark pressed, and stamped in black the Full Bee Goebel’s
mark.
As the crown mark was used between 1935-1955 and the Full Bee
between 1950-1957, we have to deduce that she has been produced
between 1950 and 1955, period where the 2 marks were being used.
The Goebel porcelain factory is worldwide known by the “Hummel”
figurines, highly collectables.

Raro modelo de desnudo de Goebel, Alemania hacia

Nos muestra a una joven desnuda de pie, mirando hacia el cielo
con un brazo levantado y el otro a lo largo de su cuerpo.
Parece que con su mano alzada esta protegiendo su cara de la luz
del sol.
Esta finamente modelada y su cara y cabellos muy detallados. Su
cuerpo es esbelto pero muy bien formado.
Está modelada en terracota en su color original. Un número
limitado de piezas eran elaboradas en este material, y se dejaban
sin pintar.
Atendiendo a otras figuras de desnudos de Goebel, puede ser que
haya sido esculpida por Unger o Möller, los mejores modelistas
que trabajaban en la época para Goebel.
Tiene 3 marcas; el número de modelo “EN 10”
y la marca de la corona impresas y estampada en negro la marca
de Goebel con la abeja completa.
Como la marca de la corona se uso entre 1935 y 1955 y la abeja
completa entre 1950 y 1957, tenemos que deducir que la figura
fue producida entre 1950 y 1955, periodo en que se usaban ambas
marcas.
La factoría de porcelanas Goebel es conocida en el mundo
entero por sus figuritas “Hummel”, muy coleccionadas.
