Vintage Art Deco Figurine by Karl Tutter.
This is a vintage Art Deco bisque ( Biscuit )
figurine designed by Karl Tutter for the porcelain company Hutschenreuther
in the 20s-30s.
It depicts a young nude woman touching up her hair after a bath.
She is just having a towel over one of her legs.
The body is masterly modelled with very detailed anatomy.
Her face, as usual with Tutter sculptures, is quiet and dreamy.
If you look carefully at her face you will see that she is the
same girl sculpted in another version (
our reference V0331 ), so we can deduce that Tutter has
employed the same model for an study and made different versions
with the same model.
This figurine is modelled in white bisque porcelain, so, it
has not overglaze.
The condition is perfect, and wears on the bottom of the base
the Hutschenreuther mark used in 1968 and impressed “K.Tutter”.

Karl Tutter was one of the most famous porcelain modellers of
the 20th century. His porcelain works gained him fame nationally
and internationally. To some extent the Hutschenreuther art
figurines owe their good reputation to Karl Tutter.
He created for over 40 years a large number of figurines for
the brand Hutschenreuther, which had been acquired by Rosenthal
in 2000, such as“Mephisto”, Sonnenkind”, Nach
dem Bade” and “Finale”.

Figura Vintage Art Deco de Karl Tutter.
Este es un biscuit vintage Art Deco diseñado
por Karl Tutter para la compañía Hutschenreuther
en los años 20-30.
Nos muestra a una joven desnuda retocando sus cabellos después
del baño. Solo tiene una toalla sobre una de sus piernas.
El cuerpo esta modelado con maestría y con gran detalle
anatómico.
Su cara, como es usual en las esculturas de Tutter, está
tranquila y soñadora. Si se fija cuidadosamente en su
cara, podrá observar que es la misma chica esculpida
en otra versión (
nuestra referencia V0331 ), por lo que podemos deducir
que Tutter utilizó la misma modelo para un estudio e
hizo diferentes versiones utilizando la misma modelo.
La figura está modelada en biscuit, porcelana blanca
sin vidriado.
La condición es perfecta, y tiene en la base la marca
usada por Hutschenreuther en 1968, así como impreso “K.Tutter”.

Karl Tutter fue uno de los modelistas de porcelana mas famosos
del S.XX. Sus trabajos en porcelana le dieron fama nacional
e internacionalmente. Hasta cierto punto las figuras artísticas
de Hutschenreuther deben su buena reputación a Karl Tutter.
Creó un gran número de figuras durante mas de
40 años para Hutschenreuther, adquirida por Rosenthal
el año 2000, como: “Mephisto”, Sonnenkind”,
Nach dem Bade” y “Finale”.
