Regency Tea Caddy.

A Regency shaped rosewood tea caddy with pyramided top and string inlay with boxwood. England, around 1830.
It is veneered in particularly well-figured rosewood and it has the original escutcheon made of bone.
The original velvet is visible on the back of the cover. On the body the lids for the tea got lost at any time and it got a velvet lining as replacement quite long ago.
The hinges and lock are originals, the key old but may be not original.
Condition: Not restored, just cleaned. Key and lock are in perfect working condition.

Caja de Te Regency.

Caja de te Regency de palisandro con tapa piramidal y bordeada de madera de boj. Inglaterra, hacia 1830.
Está chapada en un palosanto con un veteado especialmente interesante y tiene su bocallave original de hueso.
El terciopelo original se puede ver en la parte interior de la tapa. En el cuerpo los recipientes para el te desaparecieron en algún momento y se forró de terciopelo hace bastante tiempo.
Las bisagras y la cerradura son originales, la llave es antigua pero puede no ser la original.
Condición: No restaurada, solamente ha sido limpiada. La cerradura y la llave en perfecta condición de funcionamiento.
