Art Deco hand coloured bisque (biscuit) of a young
nude lady playing with a golden ball.
She has like most of Werner’s Hutschenreuther figurines
lots of movement, elegant figure and delicate features.
She is made of white porcelain hand decorated with colours and
accented by the golden ball.
Her left arm extended as if she wants to keep balance.
The base is glazed.
Artist’s name C. Werner is impressed on the base, besides
her feet.
Marked on the back of the base Hutschenreuther, mark used between
1955-1969.

Carl Werner was a sculptor and one of the most important German
porcelain modellers of the 20th century. In 1922 the sculptor
Carl Werner took charge of the artistic department.
The same year saw the beginning of the creative collaboration
with Carl Tutter who, during the four decades of his work, went
on to create masterly crafted sculptures that received worldwide
recognition.
For the brand Hutschenreuther, acquired by Rosenthal in 2000,
he created many wonderful figurines, e.g. “Die roten Schuhe”,
“Bajadere” and “Schwerttänzer”
and also animal sculptures such as “Trabendes Edelpferd”
and »”Auf der Koppel (Stute mit Fohlen)”.

Biscuit Art Deco decorado a mano de una mujer
joven desnuda jugando con una pelota dorada.
Como la mayoría de las figuras de Werner para Hutschenreuther,
tiene un gran movimiento, elegancia en su figura y facciones
delicadas.
Está modelada en porcelana blanca y después coloreada
a mano, con el acento de la bola dorada.
Su brazo izquierdo se extiende como para guardar el equilibrio.
La base está vidriada.
El nombre del artista, C. Werner está impreso en la base
detrás de sus pies.
Marcada en la parte inferior de la baseHutschenreuther, marca
usada entre 1955-1969.

Carl Werner fue escultor y uno de los más importantes
modelistas de porcelana del S. XX. En 1922 Carl werner tomó
posesión del cargo de director del departamento artístico
en Hutschenreuther.
Ese mismo año comenzó la colaboración creativa
con Karl Tutter quien durante las cuatro décadas de su
trabajo en Hutschenreuter, creó esculturas de una maestría
artística que le proporcionaron el reconocimiento mundial.
Creó magníficas figuras para la casa Hutschenretuher,
comprada el año 2000 por Rosenthal, como p.ej. “Die
