L. Moreau, Figural Lamp.
This is a cold painted spelter figural lamp signed
by L.Moreau, France from around 1900-1910.
It is depicting a young boy besides an egg on a nest made of
wheat’s ears, were is getting born a baby-duck.
The boy’s attitude and expression is something in the
middle to be surprised for what he is seeing and being naughty
disturbing the baby-duck in this delicate moment.

figurine designed by Karl Tutter for the porcelain company Hutschenreuther
in the 20s-30s. The original name is “Finale”, one
of his well-known masterworks.
It depicts a young female dancer performing the last movement
of her dance, the finale, the end, the closing.
Her body is masterly modelled with very detailed anatomy and
her arms, fingers and even the hair are showing a wonderful
movement.

In this figure we have a dessert fox lying in
an attitude of alert, ready for to hunt his next meal.
His face is showing all his intelligence and instincts and is
very detailed even in his eyes expression.
The legs are in tension, and the tail is surrounding one of
his rear legs.

This refined dancing lady has been produced in
Thüringen, Germany in the 30s.
She is dressing an oriental 2 pieces dress, with a golden top
and a floating long skirt with golden borders. Her shoes are
golden too; she knows how to dress elegant for a ball.
Her hands and face are finely modelled and her expression is
really beauty.
The gold details have been hand-painted as marked besides the
maker’s mark “Handbemalt”.

It represents a young naked lady on a golden ball, in an attitude
of “adoration” to the sun. It is finely modelled
and coloured (a white porcelain version exists too), giving
a great sensation of movement trying to catch the sunlight and
the freedom.
