Wonderful and rare two tier Art Nouveau side table
with inlaid Alsatian landscape. France, around 1900.
The table is showing a clear French Art Nouveau design by its
lines, composition and materials. It reminds strongly of the
designs of Majorelle or Gallé, being
clearly inspired by them.
It is made of massive and veneered oak with the inlaid landscape
on the upper floor of precious woods.
The legs and the handles on the sides are elegantly curved,
showing the typical organic forms of the Art Nouveau.
We have to remark that this is an absolutely original
table from the time and not a copy.
It is coming from the estate of a Noble Russian family exiled
to France at the beginning of the 20th century and it has been
always in the family, so it is for first time on the market.
Condition:
It has been cleaned from old wax and given a subtle french polishing.
The links have been secured with a new traditional gluing were
it was necessary.

Rara y maravillosa mesa auxiliar de 2 niveles
Art Nouveau con una paisaje alsaciano de marquetería.
Francia hacia 1900.
La mesa muestra un claro diseño Art Nouveau en sus líneas,
composición y materiales. Recuerda enormemente los diseños
de Majorelle o Gallé estando claramente
inspirada en ellos.
Está realizada en roble macizo y chapado con el paisaje
de marquetería del nivel superior de maderas preciosas.
Las patas y las asas laterales están elegantemente curvadas
mostrando las típicas formas orgánicas del Art
Nouveau.
Tenemos que remarcar que es una mesa absolutamente original
de la época y no una copia.
Proviene de la herencia de una familia rusa exiliada a Francia
al comienzo del S. XX y siempre ha estado en la familia, de
modo que es la primera vez que sale al mercado.
Condición:
Se ha limpiado de cera antigua y dado un ligero lacado a goma-laca.
Las juntas han sido aseguradas con un encolado tradicional en
las que ha sido necesario.
