Art Deco Reading Dog Night Lamp.
This is another example of French Art Deco night
lamp, with a cute dog ( a Scottish Terrier, we think), reading
a book besides the lamp light.
This piece is anonymous, not signed, but the quality of the
figure reminds strongly the works by H. Moreau. The pink marble
base is very good.
The dog is casted out of a tin or zinc alloy. The surface is
silvery with an applied black patina.

Este es otro ejemplo de lámpara de noche
francesa Art Deco, con un simpático perro ( creemos que
es un Scottish terrier), leyendo un libro a la luz de la lámpara.
Esta pieza no está firmada, pero la calidad de la figura
y sus líneas recuerdan enormemente a los trabajos de
H.Moreau. La base de mármol rosado es muy buena.
El perro está fundido en una aleación de estaño
o de zinc y sus ojos son de vidrio. La superficie está
plateada y con una patina negra.

Pin-Up With Borzoi, Schaubach.
1950s Schaubach Kunst – Goebel porcelain
lady with Borzoi.
Here we have a wonderful and quite big Porcelain figure designed
by “Schaubach-Kunst”, and produced by Goebel after
the Schaubach nationalization, Germany, from the 50s.
The sculpture represents a young woman in a dynamic pose running
with her dog and dressing as if they were running along the
beach with a white with clear blue shades bikini and a foulard
around her neck.

Esta es una maravillosa figura de porcelana Alemana bastante
grande diseño de “Schaubach-Kunst”, producida
por Goebel después de la nacionalización de Schaubach

La escultura representa a una joven dama en una pose dinámica
corriendo junto a su perro y vestida como si lo estuvieran haciendo
en la playa, con un bikini blanco con acentos de azul claro
y un foulard al cuello.

Lorenzl Tambourine or Cymbals Dancer.
Here we have a delicate and beautiful Lorenzl
art deco bronzed spelter figurine of a slender naked girl, dancing
with cymbals in each hand.
Her pose is graceful and in her face you can see that she is
really enjoying her dance.

Art Deco H. Moreau Night Lamp.
When we were going to prepare the description
for this article, we were having a hard doubt; shall it go to
the lamps or to the figures section?
Finally we have decided that the outstanding side of this piece
are the strongly cubistic Art Deco sculptures signed by H.Moreau.
This lamp is what in France is called “Veilleuse”,
a night lamp.
It is showing a pair of funny birds, we think they are marabous,
with a strong geometric design, and with their cross-eyed eyes
made of glass, looking astonished to the light, may be they
think it is the moon.

Cuando íbamos a preparar la descripción
de este artículo tuvimos una seria duda, ¿debería
ir a la sección de lámparas o a la de figuras?
Finalmente hemos decidido que la parte excepcional de esta pieza
son las figuras de un diseño fuertemente cubista, firmadas
por H. Moreau, Francia, 1920-1925.
Esta pieza es lo que en Francia se llama “Veilleuse”,
es decir, una lámpara de noche.
Nos muestra una divertida pareja de pájaros, nosotros
pensamos que son marabues, con un diseño fuertemente
geométrico, y con sus ojos de cristal bizcos, mirando
asombrados a la luz, puede ser que piensen que es la luna.

Here we have a wonderful and quite big Porcelain figure by “Schaubach-Kunst”,
Germany, from the 40s.
The sculpture represents a young woman in a gymnastic pose with
a ball and dressing accordingly with a typical sport outfit
in white.
Her body is modelled very detailed, slender but very well formed.
Her face shows a deep concentration but relax too. Her eyes
are blue, the hair blonde and her lips are showing a nice red
colour.

En este caso les presentamos una maravillosa y bastante grande
figura de la casa “Schaubach-Kunst”, Alemania, de
los años 40.
La escultura representa a una mujer joven en una pose gimnástica
con una pelota y vestida adecuadamente con un típico
traje de deporte en blanco.
Su cuerpo está modelado muy detalladamente, estilizado
pero muy bien formado.
En su cara se puede apreciar una gran concentración,
pero tambien parece relajada. Sus ojos son azules, su cabello
rubio y sus labios un encantador color rojo.
